NUEVO GORGONA

Nuevo Gorgona,  a town located just one hour from Panama City (80KM) and situated on the Pacific coast, just to the East of Coronado.  In Gorgona you will find Malibu Beach with an extraordinary landscape of sun, sea and beach, ideal for water activities.  Malibu Beach is a very well-known surf spot and has been the site of international surfing competitions like the ‘Reef Classic International’ event.

In the Gorgona area properties can be less expensive, generally, than Coronado because Gorgona is not a 'private' community.  Coronado and Gorgona basically share the same beach (on the Eastern end of Coronado, from the Punta Prieta Towers toward Gorgona), which is called Playa Serena (Serene Beach). 

There are certainly a strong number of expats owning and living in Gorgona, both in private homes as well as the Playa Serena tower, The Biltmore, and the new Bahia Tower now delivering residences to its owners.  The Malibu residential homes project is up and running and there are also several new projects slated to break ground in Gorgona in 2012.  Things are really hopping in Gorgona with both locals and foreigners moving in and enjoying this beautiful stretch of beach.
