EL VALLE DE ANTON

El Valle de Anton, or simply El Valle (The Valley), is not just another place in Panama.  Its name is rich in history and culture, and continues to be one of Panama’s most well known places, yet best kept secrets.

Stretching 600 meters above sea level, El Valle is nestled in the second largest inhabited volcanic crater in the world.  This makes for a refreshing, cool climate that can be enjoyed year round. Three-hundred sixty degree views of sloping, misty mountains set the back drop for this magical place. As if this is not enough, this paradise is situated just 2 hours northwest of Panama City, and 30 minutes from some of the Pacific’s most beautiful beaches including Coronado, Santa Clara, El Palmar, Rio Mar and many others!  For these reasons, many of Panama’s most well known families have made El Valle their second home destination for generations.

El Valle also has many amenities such as a supermarket and mini-supers (convenient stores), veterinarians, gas stations, restaurants, hotels, pharmacies, and a clinic making El Valle a comfortable place to live or visit.  Also, just a 30-40 minute drive, is the San Fernando 24-hour Emergency Clinic located in Coronado.

The community of El Valle does not allow condo towers or high-rise apartments. The community has a building height restriction of three-stories. El Valle offers mainly re-sale existing country homes anywhere from a year or two new, and up to 20-plus years old. The typical 3 bedroom 2 bath, country home is priced from about $250,000.00 to $400,000.00. The average land size per home in El Valle is 2,000m2. There are many fincas (farms) that range in size from 3000m2 to many hectares and can price well into the millions of dollars.

One of the most popular activities for locals and visitors alike is the newly remodeled Market Place.  Saturdays and Sundays the market fills up with vendors from El Valle and through-out panama selling an array of fresh fruits and vegetables, plants, jewelry, and other beautiful handmade crafts.
